We ask if you can encourage your child to try their best to write independently. If you notice that they are having trouble then you can prompt them.
- What sound does.. (word).. start with?
- What is the next sound that you hear? What is the middle sound?
- What is the last sound of that word?
- What is the next sound that you hear? What is the middle sound?
- What is the last sound of that word?
Encourage them to sound out the word and emphasise the sound you want them to hear.
