Reception PE

‘‘In line with all provision on the online primary curriculum blogs, PE lessons are available 24 hours a day. This is to ensure that PE lessons can be accessed at a convenient time to fit in with you and your family routine’’


Workout Challenge: (10 minutes)
High Knees:
· Stand upright to start, and make sure you have a lot of space around you.
· Arms and hands forward and ready for your knees.
· Bringing your knees up one by one
· Just like running but High Knees
· Important Note: Knees must touch hands.

Back Heel Kicks:
· Stand upright to start with the back of your hands placed on your bottoms.
· Just like running, but bring your heels to kick your hands behind you
· Heel kick your hands one by one
· Keep your body nice and tall while you are doing the workout.
· Important Note: use your toes to help.

Frog Jumps:
· Stand upright to start, and make sure your hands are ready by your belly button.
· Squat down and get into a Frog position, ready to Jump up high.
· Reach up with both hands when you jump and come back down with both hands on the ground.
· Important Note: Balance is the key, use your hands and legs to maintain balance.

Bunny Hops:
· Stand upright to start, and make sure your hands are up near your chest like a Rabbit.
· Bend your knees just a little.
· Start hopping around like a Bunny Rabbit.
· Hopping side to side
· Important Note: Be safe and watch where you are going if you are Hopping around the house.

Ladder Climb:
· Stand upright to start, get you hands in the ready position with one reaching above your head, while the other hand is next to the same shoulder.
· Your legs will be moving too.
· Just like climbing up a ladder.
· Step by step and take it slow at first, speed it up when you get the hang of it.
· Important Note: Remember to look up, and don’t forget to breath as well.
Roughly 5 minutes have passed and now we can continue with the next 5 minutes after a break, or if you want you can keep going without stopping.


Box n Run:
· Stand upright to start, bring both your arms up to your chest in a boxing pose
· You are going to do some Air Punches while you Run on the spot.
· Stay focus on running and boxing and the same time.
· Important Note: Make sure you are in an open space and nothing is near you.

Mountain Climber:
· Get your body down to the ground
· Lift your tummy off the ground with your hands and feet.
· Bring your knees close to your chest, one by one.
· Take it slow at first, speed it up once you are comfortable with it
· Important Note: Breathing is the key hear and make sure to keep moving.

Robot Shuffle:
· Stand upright to start, get your left arm forward and your right leg forward.
· Ready to swap around with you right arm forward and your left leg forward.
· Keep swapping/shuffling until the 30 seconds is done.
· Important Note: Balance is the key, stay balanced using your arms and head.

Jumping Jacks:
· Stand upright to start, with your hands by your side and feet together.
· Next start by jumping and spreading your leg to your shoulder width.
· At the same time your both your hands will clap together right above your head.
· Important Note: Keep smiling and don’t forget to breathe.

Tornado Twist:
· Stand upright to start, arms shoulder width and spread out.
· Leg apart, shoulder width.
· Start by rotating around nice and easy
· And slowly speed it up as we get closer to the end of 30 seconds.
· Important Note: Arm your arm in closer to your body if you want to twist faster.


Yoga Cool down Movements/Holds list:
4 Yoga Moves:
1. Star Pose
2. Dino Pose
3. Windy Tree Pose
4. Sunflower Pose

Reminders:
Breathing in through the nose and Breathing out trough the mouth to start. Deep long breaths.
