Next week we will be focusing on taking turns while doing different activities.
You can help at home by playing board games which involve turn taking. When playing you can use the language “my turn” and “your turn” to mirror what we do in class.
Playing board games also helps with your child’s maths development. E.g. They learn to subitise (say how many spots are on the dice without counting them) and also learn to count 1-1 when moving their counter.
Please remember that learning to be a good loser is also an important skill – it is healthy for your child to lose sometimes!
